About Cotswolds Photographer

We believe in the transformative power of nature.  Our mission is to help companies provide an environment more conducive to employee wellbeing through full scene wallpaper; we bring the serenity and beauty of the natural world into corporate environments.

We know the profound impact nature has on mental and emotional wellbeing. Stress, anxiety and burnout are all too common in the corporate world and we believe offering a visual sanctuary where employees can find peace, calm and inspiration amidst their busy work days is a vital element to wellbeing and productivity.

Our full-scene wallpaper isn’t just about aesthetics – its about creating an immersive experience that transports individuals to tranquil landscapes.  With our wallpaper, employees have the opportunity to take micro breaks, refocus their minds and let their creativity flow. It’s a visual aid that supports meditation and mindfulness practices allowing individuals to ‘step away’ from their desks without actually leaving the office.

As the founder of Cotswolds Photographer, I’ve experienced firsthand the challenges of the corporate world as both introvert and neurodiverse valuing moments of quiet reflection and experiencing a need to ‘escape’ even for a moment.  I’ve felt the overwhelm of loud open plan workspaces, the mental freeze and frustration and inability to focus, the pressure to constantly perform and the detrimental effects of stress and burnout. Through my journey I’ve discovered the restorative power of nature and the importance of incorporating moment of peace and calm into our daily lives.

Our dual mission is simple yet impactful – wellbeing: by helping employers support  their employees’ wellbeing and mental health, and by promoting environmental wellbeing.

Employee Wellbeing: By providing workspaces with full scene wallpaper that promotes relaxation, creativity, and inspiration, we’re empowering individuals to thrive in both their professional and personal lives. We invite you to join us in embracing the power of nature and creating workplaces that prioritise employee wellbeing.  Together, we can foster environments where individuals feel supported, inspired, and truly alive. Let’s transform corporate spaces into havens of tranquility, one wallpaper at a time.

Environmental Wellbeing: By capturing and sharing the timeless beauty of the Cotswolds landscape, we aim is to inspire environmental stewardship and promote human wellbeing through the power of photography. We are committed to:

Sustainability Practices

  • Minimizing our environmental impact by prioritizing walking to photoshoot locations and practicing Leave No Trace principles
  • Partnering with eco-conscious print companies to offer on-demand, sustainable printing options (see more below)
  • Producing bespoke wallpaper using recycled materials that are wipable, removable, and reusable
  • Conservation Support: donating a percentage of each sale to Cotswold National Landscape and Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust
  • Collaborating with local businesses to support the community and reduce our carbon footprint.

Environmental Awareness

  • Sharing compelling images and stories that highlight the Cotswolds’ natural beauty and encourage preservation efforts
  • Emphasizing the vital connection between nature and human wellbeing to inspire conservation for future generations
  • Through our work, we strive to foster a deep appreciation for the Cotswolds’ unique landscapes, from the honey-colored stone villages to the undulating hills and ancient woodlands

By showcasing the region’s hidden gems and iconic vistas, we aim to create a lasting legacy of environmental consciousness and sustainable tourism in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Why we adopt a Print on demand (POD) approach:

Print on Demand is an environmentally friendly approach to production that significantly reduces waste and minimizes the ecological footprint associated with traditional manufacturing methods.

Waste Reduction

  • Made-to-Order Production: Unlike traditional printing, which often involves large-scale production runs that can lead to excess, unsold, items, POD only produces items when there is a confirmed order. This drastically reduces the amount of unsold merchandise that can ends up in landfills. Our wallpaper Is bespoke to the size of your wall reducing waste.
  • Elimination of Overproduction: By operating on a demand-driven model, POD eliminates the guesswork in inventory management, helping to achieve zero-waste goals. This means that resources are not wasted on products that may never be sold

Resource Efficiency

Reduced Storage Needs: Since products are created only as they are ordered, there is no need for extensive warehousing. This decreases the energy consumption associated with storing products and managing inventory

A Little About the Founder

Hi, I’m Helen, or ‘H’ – I go by either.

I’m a professional photographer and exclusively share images taken in the Cotswolds. Being in the natural landscape is where I find space to reconnect to what is important in life.

I’ve loved taking photographs since I was given my first camera at the age of 9 and since moving to The Cotswolds in 2016 I’ve been lucky enough to be able to combine that with my loves of nature and walking.

The Cotswolds has given, and continues to give, me so much for my work and my wellbeing and so I give back through donating part of profits from sales of prints and wallpaper to Cotswolds National Landscape and Gloucestershire Wildlife  Trust.

I sincerely hope that you find an element of peace in my work and that it inspires you to connect with nature, to tread a little lighter, to laugh a little more and radiate your inner peace out to the world.

Helen
